We will deliver "crop boxes" to a central pick-up site one day each week for a minimum of 15 weeks over the growing season. These boxes will be packed full of 5-7 varieties of whatever organic vegetables are being harvested that week - enough for at least a family of four.

  • Early Season boxes are likely to include: snap peas, broccoli, kale, spinach/lettuce, radish, beets, and onions.

  • Mid-Season boxes are likely to include: lettuce, potatoes, garlic, carrots, squash, beans, kale, eggplant, tomatoes, and peppers.

  • Late-Season boxes might include: potatoes, melons, beans, eggplant, tomatoes, peppers, carrots, radish, lettuce, kale, spinach, broccoli/brussel sprouts/cauliflower.

We currently have CSA pick-up sites on Capitol Hill, DC, Purcellville, VA, Leesburg, VA, Ashburn, VA, Reston, VA, and Falls Church, VA. If you have another climate-controlled drop-off site in mind, where we can deliver a minimum of four crop boxes, please email us (info@afarmlessordinary.org)!

AFLO CSA Membership Terms and Conditions

Member is responsible for observing AFLO’s pick up rules:

  1. Return your share bag/box from last week, when Member picks up their new weekly share.

  2. Pick up Member’s share within the specified timeframe. AFLO’s products can deteriorate if not picked up on time and stored properly.

  3. Be respectful of AFLO’s CSA pick-up sites, which include storefront tenants, as well as tenants who live in or near these sites.

  4. Follow additional rules that may be posted at pick-up site regarding how much produce to take, and how to leave the site, once you have picked up your weekly share.

If you cannot pick up your share, you must arrange for substitute to pick up share. You will need to explain the pick-up site location and procedures to your substitute. Any shares not retrieved will be donated to a local food bank.

By joining A Farm Less Ordinary’s CSA, AFLO and Members agree to share in the risk of crop failure, due to factors such as inclement weather, pests, and “acts of God”. If a particular crop fails, AFLO will include other crops in their weekly share, in order to make up the difference in value. In more extreme circumstances, AFLO may buy organic produce from other local farms and include those in Members’ shares.
